NYSBDA Band Stand
The Band Stand is the official newsletter of the New York Band Directors Association and is published quarterly throughout the academic year. In trying to better meet the needs and desires of Band Directors in NY State and also to do our best to wisely spend your membership dollars, the NYSBDA Executive Board has decided to make some changes to the way the Band Stand is produced and distributed. Issue #1 (September) will go to all Band Directors across the state and will be produced in a paper format. Issue #2 (December) will be produced as an electronic document and will be posted on the NYSBDA Website. NYSBDA Members will get an email when it becomes available for viewing. Issue #3 (January-February) will be mailed only to members and will come out in paper form. Issue #4 (May-June) will be produced like Issue #2 – as an electronic document and will be posted on the NYSBDA Website.
NYSBDA members are invited to submit articles for publication dealing with any aspect of bands and/or music education. Publication deadlines are August 1, October 1, December 1, March 1.
