Stik Figures Percussion Ensemble

Stik Figures is a contemporary percussion ensemble that can perform in many different settings and venues.  Their repertoire uses traditional, classical and contemporary percussion instruments that cover the spectrum of sound and bring new meaning to the art of percussion.  Stik Figures is a group of all music educators comprising of Frank Battista, Peter P. DeSalvo, Jason Giachetti and Anthony M. Romeo II.

Clinic:   Making Your Percussion Section Musical:   Auxiliary Techniques and Mallet Section 

This clinic is designed for music educators to help teach specific techniques to percussionists grades 4 through 12.  The session includes hands-on demonstrations of percussion instruments including: snare drum, bass drum, cymbals (crash & suspended), tambourine, triangle and other "toys" you might encounter.  Proper mallet choices are discussed for various types of settings and colors.  Also included are "tricks of the trade" substitutions and tactics in dealing with percussion equipment and performance issues.
