Rodney Winther is the Director of Wind Studies and Professor of Music at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. His duties at CCM include conducting the Wind Symphony,Chamber Winds and the CCM Chamber Players while also teaching Masters and Doctoral students in Wind Conducting. Prior to this, Mr. Winther was Director of Bands and Professor of Music at the Ithaca College School of Music for fifteen years. Known for his championing of contemporary music, Mr. Winther has conducted the premiere performances of works by such distinguished composers as Warren Benson, David Amram, Roger Nixon, Raymond Premru, Gordon Stout, Dana Wilson, and most recently Martin Ellerby. His frequent appearances as guest conductor and clinician have taken him across the United States, Republic of Malaysia, Taiwan, and England.
